After you are done...

After you are done reading the crap in the post below, check out this new Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy trailer. It's the funniest thing I've seen for a while. Seriously, how can anyone still say they are excited about Episode 3? Eh, wait. I know a couple of them...

The stinker which is also known as Star Wars Episode 3: The Revenge of The Sith

Here are some pictures of the upcoming flick. Here's the site with the rest of the pictures and well, basically the entire plot.

Obiwan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker vs Count Dracula, I mean, Dooku

Some new villians known as the Grevious. Pretty cool looking if you ask me.

I dunno why but Yoda with a lightsaber always cracks me up...

I'd just like to state officially that I am never ever gonna use his dentist.

Oh look, the final duel...

Michael Jackson without his makeup. Seriously...

Probably, the best scene in the movie already.

The best thing in the screwed up trilogy... also known as Goddess Natalie.

Should we...?

Hmmm, was having a discussion with Alvin that day. What would be the best TV theme song to cover? I'm always very partial to the Buffy theme song. But recently, I've watched quite several episodes of Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman. The show is simply over-the-top but Lynda Carter is fucken HOTT.

Woooo...

The them song has the worst lyrics I've heard for a long time with the exception of Led Zeppelin of course. Check them out.

"Dress in her satin tights/ fighting for your rights"

Seriously, what the FUCK were the composers smoking maaaannn?!?!?!?

Lazy lazy...

Am supposed to send out quite a couple of resumes today but my usual procrastination leads me to me to juggle writing 2 proposals for future AYP events, burning CDs and printing the proposals at 4am in the morning. So, the hunt for CPF-deductable employment takes a backseat for the moment.

Hopefully, all goes well. We've got more shows and more exciting acts to feature. Still exploring some venues, well, when I could get my arse off the ground...

In other related news, The Love Experiment will be playing 2 gigs next month. One at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre on Thursday 24 March on the eve of Good Friday. Pop by before going down to church. We take the stage at 7:30pm. The Jerms will be headlining the stage. This is part of the Indie-pendent Weekend, organised by Music For Good. I love playing that stage. Great crowd and equipment. Hopefully, we dun cock up as much as the time we did for the "Spread The Love" gig. We still wanna play at the venue more man!!!

We'll be probably playing the same set of tunes as the Jan gig, taking out the drum'n'bass 'Osmosis' (until I get my audio interface, I reckon) and probably, the Chuck Berry rip-off, 'Love Conquers All' (Alvin hates the tune but the chicks love it. That mutha...) We should be playing 2 new tunes, one which sounds like local jazz-fusion band, Throb and Beck (but of cuz, not as goot lah...) and a new tune which I swear Yeeyong wrote under the influence of hearing too much Interpol. We are trying to funkify it to sound more post-disco. You know lah, we are all about the groupies. And like what the kids in Franz Ferdinand said, "we wanna write music which makes girls dance." That's a mission statement, I swear... I mean, I can so see Eva Longoria giving me a private lap dance. Wooo wooo...

Nowadays, we'll usually choose a cover to slot into the setlist. I've always wanted to go with Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love'. I reckon even if we can pull off her part, we still can't do Jay-Z's rap bridge part. We are currently still choosing.

On Saturday 26 March, we should be playing at this pub called Prince of Wales Backpacker pub in Little India. Our friend who put this event together is getting 3 acts. He's still deciding on the 3rd while I heard that we are opening for Ugly In The Morning which is a fucken fantastic live act, coupled with amazing vocal harmonies. I think we are pretty screwed for that gig. Hehehe...

Am counting down the days when Melvin gets his ass back in town. Itching to start recording the demo. Woo hoo... Was thinking of how to play the disco part of a tune. When you play disco (or funk), you gotta use a Strat. Then, I remembered Sujin's steely eyes when I asked him abt it. Those eyes said, "No one touches my bitch..." Crap, one down. But Alvin reminded me that he had a Gibson Explorer which I tricked him once to thinking that it was a Strat. Hey, if it works for Earth, Wind And Fire, it works for me!!!

Cannot wait...

I did it...

Yeah, finally, The Love Experiment gets a presskit. And I impressed even myself with my *ahem* amazing Photoshop skills.

Think we should be doing some proper band pics when Melvin comes back from the United Kingdom boning, I mean, visiting his girlfriend. We should be able to finally start our asses on the demo. We should be tracking 'High School Girls', the one which starts off as a bossa nova-lite tune and breaks out into a disco rave-up (or so we like to think...) Yup, a complete Stoned Revivals rip-off...

Anyway, I was having a crap when this hit me. Yeah, all my best ideas come when I'm on the bowl. There's so much bullshit out there with all the categorisation. Y'know, post-rock, post-punk and there's even post-hardcore! What the fuck's up with all that?!?! So, if I were asked what type of music I play in the future, I just tell folks I play... post-disco. That's right. Repeat after me. Post-disco.

Today demo, tommorrow Lion Studios! Ha!

Downloaded Mozilla Firefox on my desktop PC to see what's the difference. I must say that it pretty much screws up how I see this blog on my browser. Me, ever still teh IT idio. Heh...

Just borrowed a Macromedia Flash book from the library. It's like fucken Greek to me man! Maybe I should take some time and explore the thing. Will probably go and borrow Dreamweaver as well to try out.

By the way, I just reformatted my hard disk last week. So I lost all my previous e-mail addresses. Drop me an e-mail and I'd add you guys on the spamming list once again.

F4

Not the Taiwanese boyband. Tony Wilson, founder of Factory Records kickstarts his 4th incarnation of Factory Records and calls it F4. For those not in the know, Factory's previous roster included Joy Division, New Order and Happy Mondays. The site is here.

2006 Hollywood blockbusters

Why the hell am I talking about them when 2005's blockbusters ain't out yet?

Cuz I just found out that Warner Bros. has set a June 30, 2006 release date for director Bryan Singer's "Superman", starring Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey and James Marsden (No, he's not appearing as Cyclopes here. Wrong franchise.) Seriously, this is gonna stink. This is what I truly believe. I really dun think that Singer will be able to revive the franchise. Go back to the X-Men franchise already!!!

And Paramount's shooting a live action "Charlotte's Web" scheduled for June 23 next year. This's gotta be cute! Imagine the CG spiders!!! As reported on Comingsoon.net,

Plot Summary: A live-action/photo real CG animated feature adaptation of E.B. White's "Charlotte's Web" starring Dakota Fanning as Fern. Julia Roberts will lend her vocals in the lead role of Charlotte A. Cavatica, a spider and heroine of the book who goes out of her way to save Wilbur the pig's life by weaving miraculous words into her webs.

Also providing voices are Oprah Winfrey as Gussy the barn's maternal yet irreverent goose; John Cleese as Samuel the sheep; Steve Buscemi as the barn's sardonic Rat Templeton. Cedric The Entertainer will play opposite Oprah as the other Goose - Golly. Reba McEntire and Kathy Bates will voice the barn's ironic cows; Betsy and Bitsy and Thomas Haden Church will voice Brooks, one of two dimwitted crows opposite Andre Benjamin (OutKast's Andre 3000) as Elwyn the other crow.

But who the fuck plays the pig?!?!?

Disney's biggest coup at the box-office probably within the last 4 years "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse Of The Black Pearl" has a sequel which you probably have known by now. But what you might not know that it's called "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest". What the fuck's wrong with all these semi-colons and the extended names? If you haven't noticed, Hollywood loves to have their period flicks about seafare to have impossibly long names. Remember Russell Crowe's "Master And Commander: The Far End Of The World" anyone? It will be coming out on July 7 by the way.

Lip my stockings...

I love the Japanese when they try to speak English. This is a direct translation of what the Jap doodes write in their 80's porn books. These are my favourites.

The amazing thing...

... about my friend Max is that he can tell you that this movie sucks and that movie rocks. He's the foremost expert on B-flicks I know and drags his girlfriend to watch them with him.

He can tell you that this movie below sucks.

But probably, he has seen it like twice. After all, how can you compete with someone who has watched 8 out of 10 movies from the Friday The 13th franchise? Believe it, bitches... 8 outta 10.

There's something black in my lentils...

Found this link on a live journal. An Indian version of Superman done in Bollywood, complete with dance sequences. Hell, yeah!!! Click on the picture to find out more.

In Good Company

This looks pretty decent, stars Dennis Quaid whose star is back on the rise, Scarlett Johansson who is always a good reason to shell out good money on a movie ticket and Topher Grace who is actually a pretty good actor. Check out the trailer here.
